Lake District June 2012

We had a damp week in the Lake District at the beginning of June.

It started off with a street party in Broughton Square for the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. For this the sun shone. That wasn't quite the last time we saw the sun but it wasn't very enthusiastic the rest of the week.

Here's a couple more pictures of Ben at Coniston in the rain and playing by the Duddon.

Father's Day

For Fathers Day this year Ben and Thomas (with a little but of help from their Mummy) spoilt their Daddy, giving him a lie in on Sunday morning followed by breakfast in bed - and a mountain of sweets took. Then they took their Daddy to Coughton Court near Alcester where we had lunch and enjoyed looking for elephants in the house. Here's a picture from the roof of the house and another walking through the jungle (bog garden).
